Some patrons note that the pub can become crowded during peak hours, particularly on Saturday evenings, making it less suitable for those seeking a quiet dining experience. A few reviews mention the limited dessert options, desiring more variety to complement their meals.

Cracking local pub serving a wide choice of drinks and amazing food at a really good price! Staff are some of the friendliest in town! Pub has a great atmosphere and caters for everyone! Well worth paying them a visit!
Two girls from Nottingham travelling around Wales and we came across this beautiful gem of a pub, lovely food with plenty of gravy (I’m obsessed with gravy hehe) such lovely and welcoming staff and there was lots of places to park your car near by. Excellent thank you so much for such a warm welcome xxx
The Sunday Roast was absolutely delicious, the homemade stuffing was the best I’ve tasted other than my Mother’s. Will definitely be revisiting, thank you for fitting us in at such last minute.
Found this gem on the way back from climbing Pen Y Fan to Cardiff. Amazingly friendly staff and superb service. Lovely little spot for a nice pint and some grub! Prices were quality too! Thank you :)
Wonderful place, so friendly and cheerful. The food was amazing and well worth the price. We had a Sunday roast and managed to grab a table by arriving at 11 and booking for 12:30 (when food starts). Both owners had a lovely attitude and made us feel taken care of, I could have been eating a home made roast in my own dining room. The only thing I struggled with was the sound level of the speakers. They played the radio and I'm particularly sensitive to loud music - they have a really good distribution of speakers but that unfortunately meant there was little to no quiet spots. Although we didn't, I'm sure if you asked they'd turn it down. Don't let it stop you coming down, this place is a real hidden gem. I didn't spend more than £15 and I got the expensive roast option. Heavily recommend!
Lush food, lovely staff. Me and my friends will be coming back again soon.
